Current message from Mayor Robert Brown:
May 5, 2015 It has been a long winter. It seems spring is finally here. Opening Day for Neptune City Bradley Beach Little League was on April 18th and what a beautiful day it was. Our Honorary Deputy Mayor Lauren Blecki threw out the first pitch. Our Council members were also in attendance to show their support for NCBBLL.
It is nice to go through our neighborhoods and see our residents out and about freshening up their yards and the kids playing outside in the fresh air. Remember we have several parks within our Borough for your enjoyment. As always, please drive with caution and watch for bicycles. I hope everyone can join us for our Memorial Day Parade on May 25 at 10:00am.

The Borough of Neptune City has undergone a revaluation performed by Realty Appraisal. Letters from the appraisal company were mailed to residents earlier this week. The fact that your valuation has increased does not necessarily mean that your taxes will increase. In some cases, property taxes may be lower and in some cases the property taxes may increase.
I would like to make residents aware of the following points:
· Revaluation DOES not generate any additional revenue from taxes for the Borough or the School, the purpose of revaluation is to redistribute taxes more fairly based on the current market value of all properties.
· The tax rate after revaluation will be LOWER and the town’s overall property valuation will be higher. The tax rate applied to your property taxes will be lower than the current rate and your property value in most cases will be higher
All property owners are encouraged to make an appointment to meet with a representative of Realty Appraisal by contacting them at 732-571-4941, or to contact the Borough Tax Assessor who has office hours on Tuesday afternoons from 4:15 to 8:15.
As always, if you want further information, please contact Borough Hall at 732-776-7224, extension 0.
June 1, 2014 Spring has finally sprung. Please remember to drive safe and watch for children playing and be cautious of those around you while driving. The Neptune City Police Department is currently enforcing the CLICK IT or TICKET program so buckle up for safety. It is the law. While riding your bicycles don't forget your helmet. Stay safe!

Paint the Town Pink is an annual month long event sponsored by Meridian Health to raise awareness of ways to prevent breast cancer. The Borough is pleased to take part in this event and to declare the month of May as "Paint Your Town Pink" and proud to be known as PINKTUNE CITY.

I know it has been an unusually cold Winter and I want to thank all of our residents for their cooperation with the unusual amount snow this year. Because of your cooperation our Department of Public Works was able to clear the streets of the Borough and allow the First Responders to assist without difficulty. Although it does not feel like it, Spring is around the corner. I am looking forward to seeing our children and their families out and about at Adams Field for baseball games and Memorial Park for picnicking. Look for upcoming events on our website and the sign in front of Borough Hall.
